Piper Latham heard a plaintive voice from the middle of a group of Germans, saying. “No, I want the Scottish—l want the proper Scottish,” and a youth suddenly burst forth with two of tho Germans after him trying to bayonet him. Tho youngster rushed'in, shot in the arms, and gasped, “Good God, Latham, I am glad to see you!” and collapsed fainting in Latham’s arms. Poor little chap.
