The course is in good order. There is a good attendance. Hesnl s: Scott Memorial Handicap, six furlongs —Ratana 1, Simple Sam 2, Te Hou Hou 3. Won easily by three lengths. Time, 1-min Ifisec. All started. Maiden Hack Handicap, seven furlqjigs —His Eminence 1, Grey Guard 2, Hoopoe 3. Scratched: Ruapehu and Bivouac. Won by half a length. Time, Imin 33 l-ssec. Ohakca Hack Hurdles, oae and three: quarter miles—Jackman 1, Huia 2, Florist 3. All started. Won by two lengths. Time, 3min sec. A Sydnev cable states that Continuance, who met with serious injuries whilst being schooled over the steeplechase course at Randwick yesterday, is dead.
