OPENING NEW BUILDING. TO-MORROW’S FUNCTION. To-morrow afternoon at. half-past three the official opening of the new building of the Young Men’s Christian Association takes place. Mr E. R. Peacock, of Melbourne, is to perform the ceremony. His Worship tire Mayor and Mr W. A. Yeiteh, M.P., are taking part, in the! programme. Mr Peacfock will lie met at the main entrance in Plymouth Street by the Board of Directors, and after opening the door with the key presented by the architect, Mr Alex. 'Wiseman, the assemblage will proceed to the function to be held inside the building. In the evening at eight o’clock' the members of the local Board are meeting in conference, with the representatives of the National Committee. On Friday evening at half past six is the opening men’s high tea. To this all men are cordially invited. Air E. R; Peacock and Mr , Alex. Jameson,' M;A., national secretary, wih speak at this gathering. The opening .ceremonies will be. further continued on the Sunday afternoon, when Mr Alex, Jameson will speak at the men’s meeting at four o’clock. All the functions are to take place at the new building.
