A BISHOP'S DENUNCIATION. Received March 7, 12.30 p.m. MONTREAL. March 0. Bishop Farthing denounced women’s afternoon gatherings, at which women danced and dressed shamelessly. He said that young girls of the humbler classes found their worst examples amongst those in the higher strata of society. Some girls who could ill afford U spent more on clothes than would amount to a clergyman’s whole salary.
