| KING’S PICTURES. The King's again' did good business last evening. “Ilia Spell,’ the star film, is a capital drama ic story, oilier supporting pictures are also lull of merit. The programme will be shown to-night for the last time. A very sensational detective melodrama of immeme power, named "Partners in Crime," will head the new series at .the King’s Theatre on Monday. The following subtitles give au excellent idea of the featured item:—Partners in crime, hypocritical citizens, wolves in sheep’s clo hing, motor boat bandits, au honest son of a bad father, the ’tecs on the trail, tracking the gang, thrilling fight with thieves, piu-tuit in a motor boat, exciting capture. There are at least two other subjects deserving of special mention. One is a novel and delightful comedy of quaint and queer adventures on the seashore in "Beauty in a Seashell.” The other-is a Vitagrapb drama, "A Doll for the Baby.” There will also be a brace of topicals, the Gaumont Graphic, and a roe carnival at Christchurch. There will be no lack of humourous element, as "A Fickle Freak.” “The Somnambulist," and "Too Much of a Good Thing." LYCFUM PICTURES. The final presentation of the very fine series of pictures now showing uc the Lyceum will take place to-night. A picture calling for special mention is “The Spell," which portrays in a vivid mauir ihe malign influence a travelling hypnotist obtains over a beautiful girl who is engaged to a clever young doctor and the latter’s sucre s in ’breaking the spell. Lovers of really good comics are wellcatered for in "Tommy’s Elopement’’ and "The 11 at rick Trick,” while. _ several excellent dramas And a place in the evening's entertainment. All arrangements are well in hand, and a very line programme is promised, particularly as sortie of Wanganui’s best talent is available. In addition, the services of Mr W. Gonville and Castlecliff residents nnd other supporters of Miss Nell Simmons’ candidature, are reminded of the concert in a'd thereof, to be given in the Gnnvillo Town Hall on Monday evening.
