Dalgety and Co., Ltd., AYelliugton, report as follows: The fourth local wool sale of the season j was held in the Town Hall on Tuesday before a very large attendance of buyers, the number operating being quite as many as in the previous sales, and the competition from Bradford and the Continent, as well as fi-oift the 'local buyers,, was excellent. ' The total quantity offered was G6OO hales, of which our total offering was 2276 bales. The condition of the wool was generally very heavy, and consisted mostly of back country lots showing a good quantity of seedy and log-stained wool. Taking this ■ into consideration, it may be said that there was an' advance to-day of par to Id on 1-bred and fine crossbreds, ,Ul to ;}d on medium and, coarse crossbreds, id to Id ■on pieces and fully Id on lambs’ wool. Owing to a good deal of wool arriving too late for this catalogue, it was decided to hold a “.supplementary” sale on the 20th inst., when the majority of Homo buyers signified their intention of attending, and we would therefore advise clients who are still holding any wool to get it in without any delay. The following are the prices ruling as compared with the rates at our sale on 6th February, 1914: .
