DUNEDIN WOOL SALE.
KEEN COMPETITION. (Per United Press Association.! DUNEDIN, February 18. The third wool sale consisting principally of wools from high country commenced . this morning. Competition was keener f than at last sales. Bradford competition was close for all sorts, and local mills were eager for super lots of merino and half-brcds. The total number of bales offered was 14.015, as against 72G1 for the corresponding sale of last year’s. Strong wools weye about id better than at last sale, and fine wools were about the same. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Co. sold 23 bales of super merino on bek3. of Kain Bros. (Beaumont) for 14)d — * New Zealand record for the season.
