While travelling at fifty miles an hour at Los Angeles, Dave Lewis, an entrant for the Vanderbilt cup race, lost control of Ids motor, and dashed into the crowd, killing a war veteran and injuring five Mcctators, three of whom were women. Lewis’s condition is serious. He was pinned with too mechanism under the overturned car.
