DEFAULT TO-NIGHT, To-night Paul Dufanlt, t!io celebrated tenor, will make his hint appearance here at the Opera House. Tne programme chosen is one of exceptional merit, having been specially selected (o display Air Dnfanlfs vocal powers'and dramatic abilities. it will include the "Prayer" from "Lc (.'id,” and a number of delightful tings, mast of which will be sung in English. Assisting Air Dufanlt is Aliss Pauline Bindley, of whom we have heard glowing reports, who will sing the ‘Shadow Song’’ from "Diborah" and a group of English songs, and will also join Air Dufanlt in the delightful duet, "It Was a Lover and His Lass." Air Ernest Toy's violin numbers will include an arrangement of airs from "Faust." Ah Harold Whittle, well-remembered from the Melba, Calve, and De Cisneros toms, will preside at the piano. Late reserves .nay be secured by ringing up Opera House phone b'i-L KOVAL PICTURES. There will be no showing of pictures at the Opera House this evening, on account of the Dufanlt conceit, but to-morrow night the Royals will have an excellent programme to submit for their patrons' approval. It will be headed by a strong and realistic drama by the Rex firm, the title of which is ‘‘The Dragon's Breath." It. is in two reels, and has a total length of 2000 ft. It is interpreted by a most capable caste, headed by Loie Webber and otulip Smalley. The story is one of those tragedies of humanity which battle and disappoint the reformer, being the tale of the ruin and degradation of a woman who has fallen a victim to the opium habit. This subject is one which supplies ample opportunities to the dramatist to construct an absorbing story, and it is said the producers have taken full advantage of the same. Supporting it will be the dramas "The Insurance 9gent," which abounds in comedy, and "Who is the Savage r" a contrast between the society woman and the squaw; “Metallurgical Works," a Rathe industrial; and the comics, “The Tale of a Cat," and "Buildin-- the Laundry Trust." This programme will he shown to-morrow night only.
THE NORWOODS.
As already announced, Ihe Opera House will he occupied on Thursday and Friday evenings by those popular entertainers, the Norwoods, who were so satisiied a, itli the result of their recent season that hey decided on a return visit to this town. The programme, to lie presei, * 1 will be one that should draw the same big audiences as on the last visit, for Professor Norwood will introduce several of his best and most amusing tests, while Miss Norwood will again demonstrate her remarkable telepathic powers.
