ALLEGED LIBEL.
JOHN FULLER V. THE TRIAD. (Per United Press Association.) AUCKLAND, August 20. In the Supremo Court, Air Justice Edwards and a jury aro hearing an action for alleged libel brought by John Fuller agaiiist the Triad paper, claiming £5Ol damages. The libel complained of was published .on March 10, and sot out in part that the plaintiff was never a singer of any special merit, because his voice was never properly trained, and quoted a story alleging managerial meanness, with the comment, “but that is John all over, and John will never change this side of the rolling Jordan. This close-fistedness doesn’t matter, because that is after all his own affair; hut ah, if somebody could only persuade him not to sing any more.”' The case is proceeding.
