At tho Supreme Court criminal sittings Robert Blair Stewart, on a charge of breaking, entering, and theft, was sentenced to two years. John Hitchcock, a wcak-looking niv>. pleaded not guilty to a charge of attempting to murder his sister, Annie Hitchcock, at Akaroa on April 20th last.
