COURSING.
At a meeting of the committee of the Wanganui Plumpton Coursing Club held last evening it Waf-J resolved that entries for the Members’ Stake and Puppy Stake (to bo decided at the Members' Meeting on Saturday, the 30th iust.) should close at 6 p.m. 011 Friday, tho 29th iust. It was decided that the stake money should Ls allotted on tho following basis:—Members’ Stake.—lf 20 dogs compete, the lirst prize to bo worth £ls, second £3, and third £2. Puppy Stake.—lf 12 dogs compete, the prizes will be £5, £3, and £2. In the event of 16 or more dogs competing in this event, the club will present the owner of the winner with » cup (to be engraved) in honour of winning the first puppy stake decided by the Wanganui Club.
