STEAMER ON FIRE.
Press Association.—Telegraph.—Copyright Received August 20, 9.50 a.m. PERTH, August 20. Tho steamer Rakaia, wheat laden, cn route to Cardiff, lias arrived at Albany with a fire in No. 3 hold. The discharging of her cargo into lighters immediately commenced. The smoke renders the work very difficult. The actual seat of tho fire has not been located, and it is impossible as yet to estimate the damage.
