THE STRENGTH OF THE FLEETS. (Times-Sydncy Sun Special Service.) (By Telegraph.) LONDON; August 19. At the beginning of tho month Britain will have two complete squadrons of Dreadnoughts in Home waters, with a broadside of 80 tons. When the New Zealand returns Britain will also have a squadron of battle-cruisers in Homo waters, and .another in tho Mediterranean. A NOTE OF WARNING. LONDON. August 19. The Daily Telegraph calls attention to the fact that Britain’s’ pre-Droadiioughb shins are rapidly diminishing. Tho Empire’s naval outlook will darken as tho older ships drop out until we are actually 'in a postiou of inferiority to Germany in respect of pre-Dreadnoughts.
