An action nii.-ing out of the heavy storm experienced in Wellington on the 251 hj of February, 1911, was heard at the Supreme Court . to-day, when Luigin Ccrchi, a mechanic, claimed from the Wellington City Council the snm of X'tV) A, damages sustained to his property at Roseiicath through being inundated with water a- the result of a blockage of one of flie defendant corporationculverts. The jury awarded X 151! damages, and tiuCoart reserved decision on a non-suit point raised by the defence concerning differences in the statements of daily put in by plaintiff's solicitor.
