TAYLOR WINS ENGLISH CHAMPIONSHIP. Press Association.—Telegraph.—Copyright Received June 24th. 11.50 a.m. LONDON, Juno 24. H. Taylor won the Golf championship in 304. MARORO CLUB. The June bogey match for Tlnmdfty members of the above club takes place tomorrow. Pairs and handicaps are as follow:—Benson 30 v. Schubert 18; Spurdle 24 v; Halligan 18; J. Goss 1 v. Richardson 8; Cooper 30 v. Lewis 6; Rev. Chappell 24 v. McDowell 20; Gilbert 18 v. C. Young 16; W. Young 16 v. Reynolds 16; Coull 30 v. Lampe 30; Roberts 12 v. Engleman 30; Foster 36 v. Penny 36; Esson 15 v. Brydon 36; Campbell 25 v. J. Brown 25; Worth 40 v. H. Thompson 40. Any other players whose names do not appear will be paired and handicapped at the club-honse up, to 2 p.m. We say of the Challenger golf ball that the player gets better golf by its use. because it is a better ball in every way than any hitherto made. Tire best golfers use the Challenger golf ball.
