NEXT YEAR’S . CAMP

PALMERSTON N., Juno 23

A big advance will be made in Territorial training next year. The Defence Department has decided *to hold four main camps, two in the North and two in the Soutß Island, comprising all arms. It is estimated that 6000 men will be under canvas in the Wellington camp. Three sites arc under consideration—Himitangi (near Forton), Takapau (Hawke’s Hay) and Turakina. A feature of nest year’s camps will be an inspection by General Sir lan Hamilton, commanding the overseas forces.
