HOUSE BURNED AT TIN WALD. (Per United Press Association.) ■ ■ - ASHBURTON, June 22. An* eight-roomed house at Timvald, owned and occupied by Mr Johnston, a farmer, was, with the contents, totally destroyed by fire late yesterday afternoon The'building was insured for_ .£250, ami the furniture for JUDO, both in the Commercial Union.

A lire occurred at Caversham aVini 7 o’clock on Saturday evening in a ii\eloomed house owned by Charles John Thorne, builder and contractor, and occupied by Hans George liappc, an elcclri- <■! engineer. Two rooms were destroyed and the rest of the house was saved, the damage amounting to bill). The insurances were:—House, .£.'12.3 in the London and Globe office, and the furniture for C -1 ,50 in the Royal Exchange office.
