(Per United Press Association.) AUCKLAND, May 10. A Territorial named George Ed. Wahl--trom was fined £2, with costs at the Police Court to-day on a charge of haring issalilted an officer. The evidence showed -hat a sergeant taxed the accused with smoking in the ranks. The accnsed, after ‘he parade, struck a non-commissioned officer in the Drill Hall, but was stopped. Je attacked him again as he left by the >ack way. The accnsed denied smoking in the ranks, and witnesses said that ho was struck by the assaulted officer when in the hall.
