ONE COES MAD IN GAOL.

. ROME, May 2. Mattel, one of tlw- Camomste convicted at lost year's famous trial in Viterbo, is reported to have gone mad. Another of the notorious secret society, Father .Giro Vitozzi, the excommunicated priest, who was the chaplain of the Camorra, has been released from gaol. He was’ sentenced to six years, but at the time of his conviction he had already been in -custody' for live years awaiting trial.
Of the 38 men originally arrested for tho murder of Gohhdro Cuoccolo and his wife,- the crime for wliich the Camorriste were condemned, only 19 were in the dock, or, rather,, cage, when 1 tho verdict was given, towards tlie end of last year. Of the rest, one (the brother bf'Erricono, the head of tho society) died in prison before the trial began; Nineteen others were released, as they had already passed in gaol the maximum penalty, for tho offence, of winch 1 they \verb, accused—criminal association—and two t of these have since died, ■ ,
