(Sydney Sun Cables.) PARIS, May .2; . Professor Afsene d’Arsonval is. reported to have dikpoyered a new explosive, which is said-ta.be ten times more powerful than dyniunite. .
It is composed of a combination -of lamp-black and liquid gas. Experiments that have been carried out gave remarkable results.

HARVESTER STRIKE. •LONDON, May 2. Tlie strike at the. International Harvester Works in the United States has been settled. - The plant will not now be removed to Europe.
A recent mersage said that because of this strike and the frequent .recurrence of trouble.’ the Harvester Company had decided to move its machinery to Cologne, in Germany, and etart work there.
