At the Marconi Committee Ministers’ passbooks were examined. They showed there were, no dealings beyond tho purchases already testified to. Marconi protested against inquiry into matters which were pot related to the contract. Ho said be never speculated in bis company's shares.

Many members of both Urn Liberal ami the Unionist party are anxious that the Marconi committee should rapidly terminate its inquiry or be dissolved. The committee is considered to have exhibited "hopeless futility and astonishing incapacity.”
