C. PRICE’S DISQUALIFICATION
INCREASE IN STAKES FOR NATIONAL MEETNG.
(Per United Press Association.) ~ CHRISTCHURCH, May 7,
Th': Canterbury, Jockey Club refused C. Price’s application to have the remainder of his term of disqualification removed. It was decided to increase the stakes for the Grand National Meeting by L9BO, making a total of .£7790. The scale of penalties for the National Steeplechase and Hurdles and the Winter Cup was revised, but no alteration was made in the conditions attached to the New Zealand Cup.
