AN IMPORTANT JUDGMENT. (Per United Pres;; Association.) ,V PAUMUIISTON N., March.6. Judgment was given in an important case' at the Supremo . Court this' morning bythe 'Chief, Justice. ;.Th<t case was one in wliipli W. 8.. V.. Pearce claimed from the Manawatti Drainage Board damages to.the extent of JESOfI and the issue, of a writ to have certain drains properly cleared and maintained; ' alsb the Board ' to he restrained from keeping the drain so as to be a nuisance or, injurious to him. His Honor, in conclusion, said that the plaintiff had not made good his claim, and found for the dofenudants with costs.
