MONTHLY MEETING. Tiie ordinary monthly njoeting of the Mangawhero Eoad Board was held yesterday morning. Present, Messrs Speed, , Connor, Glenn, and Hamilton. | LEAVE OE, ABSENCE.-Mr Donald j Boss wrote notifying the Board that ho ! intended leaving Wanganui on the 2nd j March for England on an extended tour, i Resolved that leave of absence be grantj ed to Mr Ross, and'that the' Clerk ac- | knowledge his Totter and convey the I thanks of the Board for his past services, I and wish him a pleasant voyage and a ! safe'return. It was resolved to appoint Mr Speed acting chairman. ' | FEENTE’S ROAD.—The foreman reported that he had arranged with Tomsitt and Stokes to do the job of metalling Pdrnie’s Road.—Resolved that the foreman’s action be confirmed. It was further resolved that Mr Fcrnie’s request to metal six chains additional be Toft in Mr Glenn’s hands to - deal with. 1/ BUTLER’S THIRDS.—The action of I the dork in replying to a letter from the I Commissioner of' Crown Lands was confirmed. | MANGAHOWHI ROAD.-It was reso!i ”cd to rcfc’.'- Mr Allen to the district cn- , gineor-4'o clearing slips on this road. | ACCOUNTS amounting to .
