WANGANUI v. TARANAKI. THE LOCAL TEAM. The Rev. W. B. Scott, sole selector, is experiencing some difficulty in filling the place- in the representative team to meet laranuki in a uTurn match at Hawera on Saturday week. So far H men have le-eii chosen, (he only placfc now to be filled, in addition to the selection of emergencies, being that of centre threequarter. The team is as fellows: Full-back; M. Coutts. Three-quarters: L. Mculi, , Anderson. Five-eighths: Tilvard (second), Onglcy (first). Half; Atkins. Forwards: Back Row—Hatley and Lynch, Second Row—Brownlie, T. Leahy (lock), and Tansey. Front Row—R. Leahy and Cunningham. Wing Foiward—W. Dustin. The centre three-quarter position will be filled after the selector has witnessed the Pirate-s-Kaier.nl game. It will be seen that those dropped from the first representative team are A. Takarangi and Caldwell (forwards) and F. Meuli and Collier (barks). It is possible that cither of the last two may bo selected to fill the vacancy in the thrcc-quarte-line.
