Sa led. —Stormbird, for Wanganui. SYDNEY, May 17. Arrived.—Wimmera. MELBOURNE, May 17. Arrived.—Tomoana. from New York. Sailed.—Maunganui, for Sydney. During the past week the Blenheim lur has been in a rather bad way. Both the Opawa and Blenheim have been unable to cross outwards for Wellington. The Westport Coal Company’s collier Regains, which has been undergoing cleaning and painting on the Wellington Patent Slip, was taken off on Thursday morning. The scow Maroro appeared in sight on live horizon yesterday morning, and with a favourable wind came up to the Heads. The Arapawa, which had a -hort while previously arrived at the town wharf, went out to meet the Maroro. and towed her up the river. After being granted pratique, the Maroro lierthed at the gasworks wharf. The roow brings a full cargo of coal from Newcastle for the gasworks, and commences discharging this morning. The trip across was an uneventful one, occupying eighteen days. Word has been received (states the “Sydney Commercial News and Shipping List"), that the Norwegian barque E-to, which arrived at Caldera on April 2 ffom Newcastle, after a long passage of 85 days, picked up an empty boat at sea with the name “ Mary Isaliel” Sydney, painted on it. The boat was picked up on January 30 in latitude 34 s>uh. longitude 17G east. It will lie remembered that (he Mary Isabel, whieh wasa steel barquentine of 307 tons net. left Whangape on September 8 last year for Sydney, with a full cargo of kauri and white pine, amounting in all to 681 ft., of which 52,697 ft. was stow»sl on deck. Soon after the Mary Isabel was towed to see a cyclone sprang up on the New Zealand coast, and the vessel was never heard of again. No signs of wreckage were found on the New Zealand or Australian coasts. At an official inquiry at Sydney the Court found that in all prolwbility the vessel was lost in the bad weather prevailing at the rime she was on passage, and that no Mamie couhl he imputed to anvono in connection with the loss of this fine little ve sel.
