BRIGHT PROSPECTS. Press Association.-Telegraph.--Copyright. Received Mav 8, 9 a.m. SYDNEY, May 8. The Lieutenant-Governor of Papua, who is visiting Sydney, states that industrial developments in the possession are proceeding satisfactory, and prospects are very bright. The Administration is introducing Javanese labourers for a term of three years, for the purpose of teaching the? natives to tap rubber, and cut sisal hemp. There is plenty of native labour available, but they are deficient in skid, which the Javanese impart.
