Two teams from the Wanganui Girls’ Ccliege journeyed to Palmerston on Saturday to play their annual match with the High School girls there. They were met at the station and entertained at lunch and afterwards at afternoon tea by the school girls. Mr A. Andeison made an excellent refefree in both matches.

COLLEGE A (4) v. HIGH SCHOOL A (3),

College won the toss, and started with both the sun and wind behind them. For the first few minutes they kept the School backs very busy, but had no chance of scoring. After, a good passing rush, Ivy McKenzie scored the first goal for the School, and from the bully the School for. wards broke away again, and Ivy McKenzie again scored. School 2, College o. The College backs then did some good work, feeding their forwards well, and enabling Doris Collinsou to score, and soon after Dorothy Collier gained the net. Half-time sounded with honours even. On resuming, College pressed hard, and after a little loose play, Marjorie Palmer scored. College 3, School 2. The School girls then got to work in earnest, and kept the ball in College territory, and eventually Ivy McKenzie equalised. Afew minutes before call of time, Doris Colliuson scored, and the game ended in a win for the visitors by 4 to 3. Besides tbe scorers. Ida Collier and Joyce McKelvie played a good game for the College, while Katie Jamieson, Madeline Hopkirk, and Mona McKenzie were the most conspicuous of the School team.

In the second srell Elsie Thomson again scored, and shortly after Lily Williams brought the score to 4. Just before call of time Olive Davey scored for the College, the game ending—School 4, College 2.
