A young man named Frederick Strong, need 22, was admitted to the Auckland Hospital yesterday, suffering from serious internal injuries, received while playing football. Leonard Owen, aged 35, living at Newton, was also admitted to the Hospital last evening, snll'cring from an injured knee, snstabied during a football match. Plaving in the .second grade Northern League match, Northeole v. Ponsouby, at Victoria. Park, Malcolm Taylor, a forward player for Northcoto, mot with a nasty accident, by which his arm was broken.

FOOTBALLER’S FUNERAL. TIMAEU, July 8. Tlio funeral of T. Uertnon, who was a iciden tally killed at football on Thursday, was attended by 800 to 1000 people. The procession was nearly half a mile, long, and there was a large number of vehicles, one loaded with wreaths. Footballers, rowing clubs, Hibernians, Jinildois' and Ilricidaycrs’ Union, with whom he had been connected, turned out in strong force.
