FIRES
AT STRATFORD. Boarding House Destroyed. (Per United Press Association!. STRATFORD, July 10. A fire on Sunday morning totally destroyed a boarding house in Broadway North, occupied by Mrs. Greig. The building, which holinged to the Hills estate, was insured for £.500 iu the Imperial Office, and the furniture for £320 in the State office. The boarders have insurances on effects totalling £2BO in the National, and £6O in-tho New Zealand. The occupants only escaped in their night clothes. The origin of the tire is unknown.
AT OANNEVIRKE
DANNEVIRKE, July 10. The manager’s house at the abattoir, was destroyed by fire about 4 o’clock this morning. The building was owned by the borough, and Was insured for £450 in the State Office. The occupier had the furniture insured iu the South British for £l5O. The origin of the fire is not known.
AT INGLEWOOD.
INGLEWOOD, July 10. A six-roomed house, the property of Mr. Owen Priest, of Palmerston North, war destroyed by lire last night. Little furniture was saved. The-insurance on the house was £323 in the Victoria.
