SEVERAL INJURED. Freas Association—Telegraph.—Copyright. Received July 10, 9.56 a.m. MELBOURNE, July 10. A fire occurred at a picture pavilion at Geelong last night. A film ignited, and the operator picked it up and dropped it in front of the main exit, the audience scrambling out in serai-panic. Several fell into, or were caught by, the flames, and their clothes igniting spread the fire further. Six were badly burned and were removed to the hospital. Two girls and a boy were seriously burned, and a number of others received minor injuries. The operator’s hands were badly burned whhp carrying the film.
