A head-on tram collision too-: place at Gladosville (Sydney). The driver and passenger of one car were seriously injured. The driver and a passenger of the'other were slightly hurt. George Westinghouso, speaking at Pittsburg, announced that he had effected a perfected air-spring -whecle which was intended to replace automobile tyros. Two earthquakes, lasting three and four seconds, were experienced at Bucharest. The people were panic-stricken, and vacated, their houses. The shook was severely felt in outlying districts, where hundreds of chimneys were overthrown.
