SEAMEN IN TROUBLE.

NEW PLYMOUTH, July 6 lu the Magistrate’s Court this afternoon, Andreara Andreas, Lodberg Hansen, and Paul Paulsen, seamon on the barque Margit, were with having used obocene. language this morning on the deck of the vessel while lying at the wharf within the hearing of persons in a public Mace. There were about 100 persona on ;he wharf at the lime. Accused were each 'Ontenced to 14 days’ hard labour. A further charge of assault was laid against haul Paulsen by the captain. It appeared 'hat Paulsen made bis way to the captain’s cabin tins morning with a plate of ’neat, and, after inquiring if that was the kind of food to give a man after a long voyage, threw the plate and its con ten: s the captain, and then knocked bi.m down. Not content with this, ho entered the mate’s cabin, upset a table and broke a good deal of crockery. Tiro penalty dibit ted for this was 14 days’ bard labour, rho sentences being concurrent.
