Dr. McArthur, S.M., gave judgment today in the ease in which the Wellington Timber Merchants and Industrial Union of Employers proceeded against the ITouse Ldmlicr Co., Ltd., to recover i! 53 for moneys alleged to lie due for timber levies and fines in accordance with the rules of tho Union. The Magistrate held that the agreement entered into was one that was in restraint of trade, and therefore illegal. Judgment was givcu for defendants without coats.
