The Arapawa left on this aiteriioon s tide for Wellington, and will return lionon Friday with another load of stool lor the Wanganui Pipe Works. The Moa got away for Wellington at 6.0 p.m. yesterday. The Waimea, from Greymoutli. arrived off the bar this morning. She, however, missed the tide, and, in all probability, will not get across the bar till late this afternoon. The Regulus. from Westport, is expected on the same tide. Both vessels, which bring coal, should get away to-morrow for Westport. There were no fresh arrivals up to tho time of going to press to-day. Mr C. F. Millward advises that the Breeze is due from Bluff and southern ports on Saturday and returns south. The s.s. Holmdale is due early next week with a full cargo of rails for James Thaiu and Co Advices received by the Union Company is to the effect that the R.M.S. Aorangi cloared San Francisco on Wednesday lastfor Wellington, via Papeete and Rara. tonga. She is due at the Southern port ou July 20, and is fixed to leave Auckland for San Francisco again on July 29. Information received by the Auckland agents of the Federal-Houlder-Shire Line is to the effect that the steamer Norfolk which cleared Lyttelton for Avensmouth on. May 16, continued her voyage from. Las Palmas on Wednesday last. She is duo ut her destination to-day. The P and O. Company’s new steamers of the “N” class, now building by Messrs Caird, are to be named Netley and Nankin. Those vessels are intended for the company's intermediate passenger services to Calcutta and to China and Japan. The New Zealand Shipping Company’s ■teamer Whakatane arrived at London laet Friday (Juno 30th), from Auckland. She left the latter port on May 9lh. Last Thursday the New Zealand Shipping Company’s steamer Opawa arrived at Monte Video en route to London from New Zealand ports. She left Tokomaru Bay on June 9th. The steamer Ascot, at present bringing cargo from St. John to New Zealand, will return to Sydney from the Dominion and load general merchandise for Ocean Island. From there she will ship phosphates to bo discharged at an Australian port not yet known.
