In the House of Commons, Mr. Wedgwood, Liberal meml«er for Neweastle-nnder-Lynie, asked the Rigid Mon. 11. H. Asquith whether, in view of the Government's defeat in the House of Lords ho would withdraw Parliament Bill and recommend the creating of peers, in order that the will of the people might prevail. Mr. Asquith said the Government did not intend to withdraw.
