REMITTANCE MAN’S DEATH.

(Per United Press Association). AUCKLAND, July 1. Arthur John Stanfield, a remittance man, aged 47 years, died in Mt. Edon Gaol, while on remand to get over tho effects of a drinking hout. Deceased was well connected iu the Old Country, and at one time practised as a solicitor iu England.
