MAIL TRAIN ROBBED.
Press Association—Telegraph.—Copyright. NEW YORK, July 1. Die Erie mail train was held up by twelve armed and masked men. The mail express cars wore rifled, and the mail clerk and conductor both shot, the former fatally. Tics of telegraph poles across the track stopped the train. Many passengers alighted, thinking a collision liad occurred. They stampeded aboard when the robbers fired upon them.
