The executive committee of the Minors’ Federation of Britain rejected the South ioa minors’ appeals to financially support the Rhondda strikers. THE QUEENSLAND SUGAR STRIKE. Received Julv T, 11.5 a.m. BRISBANE. July 1. Tire lion. Q. Tudor, Federal Minister for Customs, has arrived at Bnndaberg in connection with the sugar strike. He met the owners, who agreed that tho men’s demands wore reasonable, but they wove unable to grant them until their own conditions improved, and thev received higher prices for cane. They suggested that the price should be regulated by the Government. Mr Tudor was unable to see how to regulate the price, but would make inquiries. The Sugar Company 'was rot in business for the good of its health',’’ and evidently was making comfortable profits.
