(Per United Press Association). NAPIER, April 19,

Mr J. V. Brown, M.P., chairman of the Harbour Board, announced at yesterday’s meeting of the Board that he did not intend to seek re-election. Mr Brown has men a member since 1899, and chairman since 1904. The Board voted him £SO with which to purchase a memento. Splendid raiijs havb fallen during the past three days, and though they interfered considerably with holiday arrangements, the benefit to the country will be enormous. *
