Recent cables drew attention to the large amount of Chinese hair being used in Great Britain and America for switches, toupees, etc., and the ganger arising from contagion from same. j A much greater danger is in our own midst, and that is the unwholesome hair pads being worn by many ladies in Wanganui. Some of them are positively dangerous to, health, being stuffed with the waste and sweepings from, woollen faclbriea, horse hair, etc., and in many. instances are branded as being of finest material only.
