In the House of Commons Mr. Claud Lowtber asked whether trades unions financed forty members of the Hou -e m the recent election despite the Osborne infement. Mr Asquith declined to make a definite statement. 'Mr. Ramsay Mac Donald, Leader of t he Labour Party, interviewed, regarding Mi Lowtheris question, said it was generihy true. The Labour Party was not breaking the law, but simply ignoring it. Vo injunction had been placed on ir.trt"s onions, and they would continue doing a»_ before. They declined to recognise things which were admitted to he umnir and which were about to lie remov'd. The Labourites were holding the fort while the House of Commons const lerej a remedy.
