HIPANGO PARK EXCURSION.
The first steamer, the Manawai, leaves Hatrick’s wharf at 1.30. Other steamers will follow as required. Fare 2s. return, includes a first-class concert. Programme will be published to-morrow. "The steamers return by moonlight. All proceeds go., to the Beautifying Society. Thirty pounds will he spent in improving the park. The steamers are being supplied free. Mrs. Allen has charge of the refreshment rooms. The lower deck of the Manawai is being fitted up for tea rooms." lea, cakes, and fruit salad can be had from the time the steamer leaves the wharf until she returns. Anyone wishing to arrange a private picnic party can procure a jug or billy of tea from the tea rooms, but must supply their own billy. Mrs. Allen will be on the Manawai at Hatrick’s wharf Wednesday afternoon, to receive donations of cakes, etc., for the tea rooms. Buy your ticket now and make sure of getting on the Manawai. She carries the refreshments and the concert party. Visitors are requested not to light fires in the park, or to damage any trees. As it is expected that there will he over a thousand people going it will be impossible for the committee to control this so it is hoped that the public will protect their own property.
