WANGANUI BOWLING CLUB. Following were tlic games played on the Wanganui green on Saturday afternoon: No, I—Mathison, Hiorns, Collins. A. McFarlane (skip) 21, Palmer, Woollett, Bell. Stewart (skip) 19. This was a Wanganui v. Feilding game, the home players winning after a close struggle. No. 2 —A. N. Smith, A. Smyth, Cresswell, Wilding (skip) 20; Thomson. V. Jones. Marshall, Spnrdle (skip) 17. No. 3—Fountain, Braik, Harris. Atkinson skip) 21; Brookfield, Murray, Parsons, Benefield (skip) 7. No. 4—Wright, McMurray, Howorth, Hickson (skip) 24; T. Rankin. Nairn. Ross, Bod well (skip) 15. This was a match for the Perrett “feathers,” the holders of which, were defeated. No. s—Milne, Keesing, W. Rankin, Towser (skip, snb. for Cohen), 22; Pawson, Perrett (sub. for Lomax), Boggard, London (skip) 20. This was a game between the two rinks which are to represent the club in the Keesing Cap competition at Easter.. No. 6—Greenwood, J. R. Foster. Graham (skip) 32; Bryce, Jolly, Carson (sk.) 17. ST. JOHN’S CLUB. There was a good attendance on Saturday afternoon, when the Colonials measured blades with the World, victory resting with the world by 127 to 119. Afternoon tea was, as usual, dispensed by the ladies. Following are results of the games:— Colonials—Benefield, Bogle, F. B. Brechin, A. McGuire, Holloway (sk.), 17, v. Bathgate, Stone, Hodson. and Glasgow (sk.), 37. Christie, Morgan, Bell, Soler (sk.), 25, t. Sample, Tvetin, Tattle, Cunninshaci fsk.). 19. Bonrnc, Robertson, T. McGuire, Sampou (ski, 27; Stephenson, McKay, William--o:i. Ogilvie (sk), 28. Semi-final, A. Pairs.—Richings and Roberts (5k),23; Allison and Simpson (sk), 22. The final of the pairs is to be played between Ogilvie and Gellatly (sk) and Richmgs and Roberts (sk). Ladies Game.—Mcsdames Laughton, Follett, Tustin (sk), 17; Mrs Bareness, Miss Lomax., and Mrs Hcwetson (sk), 10. The Patca Clnb are sending down four rinks oa Wednesday next. Play will commence at 1 p.m. Teams will appear in to-morrow’s issue.
