Detective Dew has recovered £4OO damages from the Daily Chronicle for libel in a cablegram alleging that Crippen, when arrested, related to Dew the complete story of tho crime. Plaintiff stated that he had never made any communication to the press on the subject. Eight actions arc pending against other papers.
