LABOUR PROBLEMS.
GOVERNMENT AND TRADE UNIONS Press Association.—Telegraph.—Copyright Received April 1, 9 a.m. LONDON, March 31. The management committee of the General Fed* ration of Trades Unions passed a resolution criticising Mr. Lloyd George’s proposals, and regretting that the Government did not invite the cooperation of Trades Unions. The committee disagrees with the proposal for the establishment of sickness and unemployment funds separate from the general fund, so as to prevent the use of tho whole of the Unions’ resources during strikes, thus threatening their existence. They arc also opposed to any scheme providing for Government interference in Trade? Union affairs and management.
