DALGETY AND CO.’S REPORT. At our usual weekly sale at Palmerston North on Thursday, 16th inst., we had a good entry of both sheep and cattle, the bulk of which were disposed of at prices as below:— Mixed lambs 8s to 10s, fat lambs 11s, mixed age ewes 9s Id, 2-tooth English ewes 15s, 2-tooth Border Leicester ewes 345, 4-tooth to s.m. Border Leicester ewes 15s 6d, Romney rams 1 gn to 1 gn, English Leicester rams f ga to 1 gn. Border Leicester rams 1J gn, weaner steers 275, weaner Holstein heifers .£4, -24-year Holstein heifers in calf £7 to =67 10s, cows in calf £5, store cows 34s to £3 2s. We offerd several lines of grade Holsteins on account of Mr C. Hopping, of Rougot'ea, which sold readily at prices as below Weaner bulls 30s, weaner heifers 31s to £3 ss, 15 to 18-month heifers (running with purebred Holstein bulls) £3 5s to £6 13s 6d, 24-year springing heifers £lO. -• STOCK REPORT. FREEMAN R. JACKSON AND CO.’S REPORT. On the 14th inst., at our Waverley horse sale, we had a good attendance of buyers. Unbroken draughts and half draughts suitable for the Australian markets sold in vendors’ favour. Light horses somewhat hard to quit. On 15th inst., at our Wanganui stock, sale, we had heavy yarding, viz., 7800 sheep, SGO head of cattle, and 90 ,pigs. The attendance was good, and although only a few pens of cattle were sold at the auction, we quitted the bulk of the yarding after the sale at satisfactory, prices. A large yarding of sheep were offered, and 5000 were sold at prices in buyers’ favour. Pigs, no quotable change. Oh the 16th inst., at our Waverley sale, we had a full yarding, viz., 5000 sheep and 200 head of cattle. Owing to the dry weather, the demand for sheep was not keen; however, the bulk of the entry,was sold before the day closed. Cattle sold at ruling prices.
