DESTRUCTIVE CYCLONE.

A wire .-from Port Douglas states that as the result of a terrific cyclone on the 16th, practically every buildm" in the town was levelled. Thcrp were two fatalities. lOC people are homclss. The message asks that relief be sent'. The township of Mossman was also devastated. The telegraphic service is disorganisd. and details are meagre. Received March 20, 9.9 a.m. . BRISBANE, March 20.
Two men were killed by falling houses during the Port Douglas cyclone, one while assisting his mother. The buildings which escaped from the disaster include the Roman Catholic and Anglican churches, the Government bond, and three public halls.
