Carden Fete.
TO THK EDITOB. Sir, —In reference to “Parent’s” letter in Saturday’s, paper, the 'committee's aim for the Garden Fete is to give visitors t!i.e 'greatest .value for the shilling. The shilling admission will allow anyone to see tho beautiful grounds and gardens, kindly lent for the fete, and which are a credit to Mr Webb; also the many beautiful birds, •including a white weka and Chinese pheasant, the bands (four —Garrison, City, Pipers’;: and the string in the bachelors’ tea kiosk), gymkhana, menagerie, hobble skirt, and, blind harrow race, decorated children, gb-carts, and bicycle, tugs-of-war, chain stepping, nail driving, and many other sights. It would he as well if “.Parent” and. all others wishing to see everything brought two or three, deputies, so as hot to miss anything—one person coiild not see everything at the fete and gymkhana on the am, etc., WILLIAM W.
